Personal Responsibility

There are so many factors that affect the environment, I am very happy to hear that most of the people recycle and reuse! We started to understand

that it's our personal responsibility. Today i'm leaving here a little note to get a couple of ideas what else can we do.

Get off your car.

Walking is slow but healthy! Try to take your car as less as possible and plan your routes to spend less fuel. Get the bicycle and enjoy your ride:)

Buy local, sustainable.

Try to buy from small local farms seasonal produce. It's absolutely your choice what to do, so think about your health and environment before you buy imported produce. First of all imported produce (even if it's organic) passes through an antiseptic processing. another important factor to consider is transportation, think about the amount of fuel that used to bring mangoes from Ecuador to Spain! And what for? Mango grows in Spain as well! Support local farmers, so they could produce more and better.

Cook at home.

Practice home cooking, put vitamin "L" in your food, give your energy to the food you prepare, know what is in your plate. Have fun!

Teach kids to cook.

Nowadays, our children do not have that opportunity to see how the food grows. They see everything in packages and precooked. Foods at school are not the best quality and typical school systems do not realize how important is food for growing kids. We should take that responsibility to teach our kids what is real food and how to cook and have fun and share time and positive emotions with family.

Smaller portions.

We generally overeat. Our portions sizes increased 3 times since 1940! That's totally our responsibility! We throw away too much food as well, and there are hungry people in the world.
